Weekly Photo Challenge: Dialogue

August 29, 2014

A deserted beach with a bright yellow sign spoke to my family – stay out of the water. The previous week, there had been an Ironman competition with over 2,000 participants in the water resulting in E.coli bacteria. :-(  I hope I haven’t grossed anyone out, but when I saw ‘dialogue’ I knew these were my photos. Here’s to clean water wherever you are. :-)

WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge: Dialogue

About these ads

  1. That is yucky – but then we’ve screwed up pretty much all of our natural resources in one way or another. Sad.

    • This is one of our most beautiful lakes in our state, and until I talked with two lifeguards I had no idea what the results are when that many people are in the water at one time racing for results. It blew me away – far away. :-)

  2. Gross! I wouldn’t even want to get my toes wet there!

  3. Great photo for the challenge. ..
Bad photo for any beach goer!
We do need to try to take care of our Mother Earth a bit better.

  4. How strange, is that normal after a big swimming event?

    • According to the life guards, there were just too many people racing for results in the water at one time. The whole thing blew my mind.

  5. Yikes :-( I’d stay out for sure!

  6. Safer to stay out but a shame that you couldn’t go in on your vaca time :(

  7. Wow, who would have thought that would be a hazard of hosting an iron man….hope they go somewhere else next year….but not near me :-)
    Good take on the challenge!
