We love camping in our 2011 Coleman CT260 Travel Trailer, but taking a shower in a Travel Trailer is usually a challenge. Let’s face it, no matter how big your Travel Trailer or Fifth Wheel is, the space is beyond miniscule in comparison to your home shower.
And, what about the wonderful feel of that plastic shower curtain sticking to you. I think that sticky wet sheet of plastic may be why a lot of people give up the privacy and comfort of their own bathroom and head to the campground bath house carrying clothes, toiletries, towels, shower shoes and quarters.
My husband and daughter installed it and found that the only challenge was that the screws for the new rod did not go into the same holes that the standard rod used. Because there is so much metal in a TT, it was somewhat of a challenge to find a wooden stud to put the new screws into. Once, the studs were found, it was easy to install with the new longer, bigger screws we purchased.
Imagine – 30% more space in the shower and no plastic to peel off your body. This is a good thing, a really good thing.
The rod also folds back in towards the shower or tub to conserve space when not in use. When the rod is folded in, you have a place to hang a wet bathing suit so it can drip over the shower or tub. This is another good thing.
The Extend-A-Shower Rod is a wonderful addition to your camper. If you want to enjoy your smaller camping bathroom, you need one.
On your Camping Checklist, we’d mark it a “gotta have.”
Grandchildren comment about Expanding Shower Rod:
Grandson (6) – No Comment – he is the only one in the family small enough to use and enjoy the bathtub.
Granddaughter (11) – Gives you a whole lot more room to shower.
