I grow cucumbers vertically, but never thought about trying to grow my watermelons this wya. i would need a block and tackle to support some of them! :>

My melons grown on the ground atop a landscape fabric to control the weeds. Horizontal space is not a concern for me as i am blessed to care for over three acres around my home.

I may need your advice because I’ve tried unsuccessfully to grow melons. Is there a type that you have good luck with?

I live in Virginia. We favor the Crimson Sweet due to the seedless nature. For me a good watermelon can be hampered by the annoyance of dealing with mouthfuls of seeds.

I saw pumpkins growing like this in France – full-sized, not the minis! Always wanted to try it 🙂

What a great idea! Like everyone else I’ve seen tomatoes like that but never melons (or pumpkins!).
