Snow, snow, snow

The first Nor’easter of the season, came in Saturday night, was gone by Sunday noon, and left us with almost 13″ of snow.

Ruler

It took four adults, one grandson, a John Deere with a snow blower, and several shovels, but we dug out, and all the animals are secure.

How do you know when you have a lot of snow? You have to exchange the car brush/ice scraper for a floor push broom to reach the snow on the top of the cars.

HillThe sledding hill that is created from some of the snow cleared from the driveway now has a solid base.

We have more snow coming in tomorrow, and the temps are dropping below zero tonight.

Winter has definitely arrived, and it’s beginning to look a Treeslot like Christmas outside as well as inside.

Do you watch a particular holiday movie every year? I watched White Christmas over the weekend because it just isn’t the holiday season for me without White Christmas.

SignFrom this farm family to yours – have a great eight days until Christmas.

And, may all your holiday festivities be merry and bright!

Oh my goodness! That is some snowfall! And I am anxiously awaiting the county plow for the 5″ we have in our cul de sac! Farmers are not sissies, that’s for sure!
But your landscape is so pretty – and very Christmas-y. I’m embarrassed to say I’ve never seen White Christmas. Should be doubly embarrassed since even Frankie Heck (on ABC’s The Middle) watches it every year!
Thank you for the Christmas wishes, Judy – and may your season also be merry and bright!

Lovely! I’m just as glad that I don’t have to deal with such a snowfall, though. People down here in coastal Texas don’t know how to drive in snow! Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas Judy! WOW that is a lot of snow! Sure seems like the country is getting hit very hard and very early this year. I don’t miss that snow but I sure enjoy your beautiful pictures. Stay warm!
