Weekly Photo Challenge: Reflections

I love reflections especially when it includes a photo of my grandson when he was around four years old.

He was such a sweetie and loved camping at Beaver Dam Campground, Berwick Maine. It was a small, family owned campground and had a tiny game room which at that time he thought was the coolest thing ever.

Besides the beautiful reflections and the wonderful memories, they’ll be talking about that camping experience well into their adult lives. ย That was where yours truly tipped the boat over. We had life jackets on, but he still doesn’t like small boats. ๐Ÿ™‚

He’s a big guy now, still likes to camp, and he helps me outside gardening sometimes when I need some muscle.

So, whether it is a reflection in a photo, great memories of a wonderful ‘little’ boy or current reflections as this handsome little guy heads for a big ‘9’ – they’re all good things. ๐Ÿ™‚

That’s such a beautiful picture! It’s so fluid that I had to look twice to see that it’s a reflection! You’ve also expressed so nicely the transition of grandkids from “little” to the “big 9” and then beyond, when all of the memories that make you a happy family will be revisited time and again.

Judy, wonderful photograph and your own nice reflection of the time when it was taken.

Beautiful photo. Time passes too quickly.

  4. So precious – that little matching shorts and shirt just make it more-so!

  5. What a wonderful photo of a special little boy. You are building great memories for him to carry into the future.

  6. That is an amazing photo…hard to tell the dif between reality and reflection there! ๐Ÿ™‚

That picture is just stunning. I do bet you wish you had that green in your life right now. I have to say — 9 was a fun year for Amara! 10 in one more month!!! How do they grow so quickly!

  8. Lovely memories. We took our guys camping also until they were in their teens. We stopped really because Judy and I got tired of sleeping on the ground, but we still have many fine memories.

  9. Fabulous photograph Judy. Dreamlike and beautifully composed. Love it!
