Tourism is an industry in New Hampshire. While winter means skiing, snowmobiling and maple syrup, spring and summer are when people flock to our lakes and seacoast. In the fall, tourists are in pursuit of our trees changing color.
New Hampshire leads the lower 48 states in tree coverage at 89%. We have trees. 🙂
Leaf Peepers are the 8.2 Million people who visit New Hampshire and spend over $1.6 Billion between September and November hoping to see color. We even have a website devoted to Leaf Peepers and a foliage tracking site and app. Leaf peeping is big business.

Besides the trees, there are also our 54 covered bridges and five lighthouses. It really is a beautiful part of the country.

They are sugar maples and are the ones that give the very best maple sap for sugaring purposes. 🙂

You take amazing pictures. Yes, it helps that you have such beautiful imagery to photograph but I love looking at your pictures. And I admit that I miss the fall season. It is supposed to go back up to 100 by Saturday.

Gorgeous autumn colours. Leaf peepers is a new term to me but could definitely apply to northern Ontario where there are still forests of colour.
