Brown’s Old Fashioned Ice Cream is just down the road from the beautiful Nubble Lighthouse at 232 Nubble Road, York, Maine.
It is well-known for its home-made ice cream. I had a small pumpkin. Who can pass on pumpkin ice cream in October? 🙂
When you see the sign for Brown’s Ice Cream, your car just turns right in. We stood in line next to a couple from Louisiana.
Brown’s is open May – Columbus Day, but during the fall they are only open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. So hurry if you’re in the area or you’ll have to wait until the 2015 season.
Here’s hoping you have a favorite ice cream stand in your area and that it is still open. 🙂

If I wasn’t so ditzy I’d be able to remember the name of an ice cream stand that used to serve “medium” comes so huge that they dripped away before you could finish them! Even the kids agreed it was best to order a “small!”
Love seeing your charming shop with the vivid trees behind it! Pure New England!
