Gorgeous. But your Walking Iris, with its one-day bloom, could have done double duty for this post.

    • I thought about it and then thought I’d better come up with something new and that poppy only last a couple of days before it starts falling apart. Love that Walking Iris, and I have one more bloom to go yet. So, as it snows this weekend, I’ll look at my one bloom and chuckle about spring arriving. πŸ™‚

  6. This is beautiful. You have a great talent for photography, and your flowers are such willing subjects. I love the water spots on the petals. Beautiful composition. If there is a prize to the photo challenge, I would give it to you. πŸ™‚

  7. Yes, poppies seem so delicate, their blooms seem like they could not possibly last long.

  8. That is beautiful… I’ve tried to grow poppies in my garden but they never thrived… must be the area I live in and soil.

That’s just such a gorgeous shade of pink. Mother Nature thinks of everything – color, texture, fragrance – and you capture it with your camera!
