I thought about it and then thought I’d better come up with something new and that poppy only last a couple of days before it starts falling apart. Love that Walking Iris, and I have one more bloom to go yet. So, as it snows this weekend, I’ll look at my one bloom and chuckle about spring arriving. π
This is beautiful. You have a great talent for photography, and your flowers are such willing subjects. I love the water spots on the petals. Beautiful composition. If there is a prize to the photo challenge, I would give it to you. π
Gorgeous. But your Walking Iris, with its one-day bloom, could have done double duty for this post.

Beautiful poppy! True that they are all too fleeting!

Yes, poppies seem so delicate, their blooms seem like they could not possibly last long.

That is beautiful… I’ve tried to grow poppies in my garden but they never thrived… must be the area I live in and soil.

They don’t last long, but they are so delicate and beautiful. This plant lives on the east side of the house in mostly full sun. π

That’s just such a gorgeous shade of pink. Mother Nature thinks of everything – color, texture, fragrance – and you capture it with your camera!
