We went out to dinner last week in Portsmouth, NH, and parked near this building on Daniel Street.
I don’t know who the resident is on the left, but the business on the right is Pawtsmouth Grooming Salon, noted on their website as being a shaggy chic holistic grooming salon for dogs.
I think shaggy chic could also be used to describe theΒ doors and the colors. Β π

Love this! And the dog bone “open” sign hanging on the door is a nice touch!

Once the snow melts and we can get out and about, we really do live in a wonderful, fun part of the country. π

I love the structure of these doors. Frame and panel is the only reliable way to make a wooden door, but I like the additional horizontal panel and the upper glass panels.

I’m tempted to declare shaggy chic as my personal philosophy, emphasis on shaggy.

You find such cool doors where you live! Today when we were driving home through one of the “nicer” neighborhoods I was looking for cool doors — I know because of you. Didn’t see a one so glad I get to share yours!

It is funny how you suddenly start looking at doors. We have so many that are covered with storms up here, that you really have to look to find ones that show their beauty without the glass. π

I know exactly where those doors are. Like others, I have stopped right there and wondered how many layers of paint are on the shaggy chic door on the left. Love the photograph.
