I loved Keukenhof when we visited, even though the tulips had well and truly seen better days. Great photos!

We were lucky that they were in beautiful shape, but the day we were there it was busy. I’m talking so many people that it was challenging to get a shot of the beautiful landscapes. Oh well, I was there, and it was beautiful. 🙂

You shot a beautiful collection under challenging circumstances! The art teacher in me is going nuts over the “variation on a theme” in your flower collage. Color, shape, texture, contrast – all represented with clarity and pizzazz! What a gardener’s dream you entered on your trip – and what an artist’s dream you captured behind the lens!

You would have pitched a tent until you were able to absorb each and every one. I cannot fully explain how every tulip was different from the one planted in the next grouping. It was mind boggling. Now, if only the chipmunks and squirrels would let me grow them here at home.

Will have to add Keukenhof to the bucket list!

YES, but make a note next to it not to go on a weekend when the sun is shining otherwise you have thousands of gardening friends with you. 🙂

The tulips were all beautiful and I never understood that there could really be that many different types until that visit. And, the way they prune their trees is so unlike anything we do here it was fascinating.

That’s it – I’ve got to see the Keukenhof Garden! What city is it in?

Amsterdam, and you will love the city itself. Beautiful countryside, thousands of healthy bicycle-riding citizens, great mass transit, and wonderful food. It’s all a good thing. 🙂

So I guess I was lucky to visit Keukenhof on a cool, wet weekday. No crowds but wore a raincoat…

Yes, as long as you were able to get sweeping photos between rain drops. 🙂 Except for downtown Brussels, I had never saw so many people in one place. You had to move around like a wave. 🙂
