Since we are celebrating the 4th of July here in the states, I thought it would be fun to have red, white and blue doors from my recent trip to Amsterdam.
Doors are one of my favorite subjects, and I participate every week with a great group of bloggers in Thursday DoorsΒ on Norm Frampton’s blog, Norm 2.0. Come on over and join us next week.
In the meantime, haveΒ a happy and safe weekend. π

Thank you. If you only knew how many Hosta plants I have, you’d have yourself a good chuckle. π

At the moment I have five, but I split them in October or March and until a few years ago I had some that had moved house with me four or five times. βΊ

Great collage! Love the red, white, and blue. Last year I did red-white-blue petunias, but I like your doors better π

Funny you should say that because you’ll find red, white and blue petunias outside in a couple of spots and red, white and blue plants (red begonia, white alyssum, and blue lobelia) on two tables. π Happy 4th.

This was a very cool idea for the 4th, and three beautiful doors too! I love the workmanship that went into the blue one.

Happy 4th to you, too, Judy! Love the clever way to celebrate with red, white and blue doors! My favorite is the elegant white one with sculptural accents.
I remember the first time decorating with red, white and blue (well, actually, they were purple!) petunias – it was the bi-centennial year, 1976. We had a small, cute house and they looked “adorable” along the front path! Gardening centers were loaded with those three colors that year!

That’s what I have out by the mailbox and in the front of one bed – red, white and purple, oh I mean blue. π

Seeing all these doors with style makes me think I need to spiff up my own. These have such strong personalities. Happy Fourth!

I have a metal front door painted a bright red with oil based paint. It has been eight years and it needs to be refreshed. π I love to paint with latex but I’m not looking forward to redoing this.

I love all 3 doors and like the idea of a red, white and blue one — but that blue one is my favorite!

Great selection of doors, all so different to each other. It makes you wonder what lies behind them!

Yes, a door does make you wonder about the person or family behind it. With that in mind, I’m thinking I need to add a fresh coat of paint to mine. π
