A body of water plus fall color in New England certainly equals a happy place for me.
This photo was taken on Wednesday at Beaver Dam Campground, in Berwick, Maine, about seven miles from home.
I wasn’t ready to dive in and head for that dock, but it certainly was beautiful and peaceful to look at again.
When I’m looking at a serene spot like this I smile and remember Curly (Jack Palance) and Mitch (Billy Crystal) in City Slickers contemplating the meaning of life. Curly holds up one finger and says “it’s one thing, but you have to figure out that one thing for yourself.” 🙂

Beautiful picture! Love the reflection of the water! This definitely makes me happy just looking at it.

Gorgeous! But isn’t it interesting that colors are more vivid in reflection than the real thing!! Beautiful picture.

I find the whole idea of reflection fascinating. I don’t know the answer unless it has to do with the sunlight on the water maybe?

Gorgeous and serene! The leaves have barely begun to change down here in DC, but there are a few daubs of gold if you try to find them. Hugs!

I traveled about an hour and a half northeast of home today, and the color is just outstanding. Here’s hoping it heads your way and you have a pretty season as well. 🙂

That is a very happy place! Wish I could be sitting there with you sipping a glass of wine! I do love fall. Palm trees do not change colors!

We could sit in those two chairs, sip our wine, and talk cameras. 🙂 But remember, palm trees don’t collect snow either.

Don’t we just love autumn and those reflections? I am glorying in Octoberness, even if it isn’t the best autumn ever, it’s still autumn. May it last a long time!!

Drove up to a quilt shop in Meredith today – it was beautiful. Color must be at peak in that area. 🙂

It really is quite stunning. The trick each year for the leaf peepers is to time it just right and for that you need a direct line to Mother Nature. 🙂

A still lake or pond with clear water is certainly a happy place, especially if the water if full of reflections of trees and sky.

I don’t suppose you’re seeing any fall color down there, but then again you won’t be shoveling the white stuff either. You win. 🙂
