Optimistic describes how I feel about our new seasonal campsite at Baxter Lake that we will be able to occupy on May 15th – a mere 16 weeks from now. At that time, I will stretch out, bake my bones, and forget all about this cold, snowy winter. 🙂
But, as long as we are going to be optimistic on this particular Friday, let’s hope the weather forecasters are a little high on their snow forecast for the East Coast. It is supposed to go south of us, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed for those in the direct path.
Be safe. 🙂

It looks dreamy..But no winter blues here.. Just rain to fill up the rivers that I am grateful for.. Take care!

That looks like your own little paradise island! You are going to have a terrific week. No wonder that spot is so coveted and so hard to reserve!
We’re not in the path of anything bad weather-wise this weekend, but my heart goes out to those who are. I just saw the news and the problems in Virginia. Everyone just needs to stay inside!

We will actually be camping there from May 15 – mid October. 🙂 Staying inside sounds like the plan for those in the direct path. So far, we haven’t seen a flake of snow and for that I’m grateful.

Optimism is thinking about baking in the sun when snow and ice are in the forecast. Take care this weekend Judy.

I like your optimism regarding the snow. She are in the red zone- so to speak-and looking at 30 inches. The best part is that I am not at all optimistic that we can handle it!!

I was telling my husband yesterday that maybe NH, VT, and ME should send some plows and drivers south to help everyone out. When we get those big storms, we have the equipment, and it is a sight to see four gigantic plows marching down the interstate taking it right back down to the asphalt. We never stay down for very long, just a number of hours, but we have huge plows that can plow straight ahead and to the side at the same time. Stay safe and I hope you have the number of a good plow guy. 🙂

Hope the storm isn’t hitting you too badly Judy – just think about those little plants below the ground being warmed by their white blankets!

We have maybe 4-5 inches on the grounds keeping those guys warm. This particular storm looks like it will go south of us, and I can’t say that makes me sad. I hope those in the direct path stay safe and have the equipment to shovel out. 🙂

Judy, I think the weather forecast must be warmer. I’m boring very cold and frosty weather here. Nice picture!

Right now it is 18F, gray, gloomy, and we’re waiting to see if we get any snow from the big storm marching up the East Coast. This morning I’m headed off to buy some fabric for a couple of new projects to keep me from getting bored. Happy Saturday, Nadezda. 🙂

Every gray, gloomy, cold day as I put on that extra shirt, I visualize sitting in the sun or cooking some marshmallows. 🙂

That sure looks like a great location! 16 weeks huh… I hope it doesn’t draaaaaag. Our first trip is usually end of April. So, 13 weeks… Yeah! Shaved off 3 weeks like that. .

It is only about 20 minutes from home so we’ll go back and forth as we want and the weather is good. We’ve never camped seasonally and are looking forward to checking it out. 13 weeks – pretty good. 🙂

Yes, something to be optimistic about. You’ll still be gardening?

As long as I’m breathing, I’ll be gardening. 🙂 Baxter Lake is about 20 minutes from home so we’ll go on great days, spend some nights, roast some marshmallows, but still garden and hubby will still golf with his senior group.

Oh, friend, that is cold. We’ve been running about 16-18 in the morning and that is plenty cold for me. Hope you are shoveled out from the storm. 🙂

I am looking forward to hearing how your seasonal campground works out. Having a place twenty minutes away sounds perfect. It’s sunny and frigid here today. Stay warm!
