When it blooms in the dead of winter, I always smile and enjoy the flower which lasts only one day.. π

That’s exactly what it is, and it reminds me of my friend who gave it to me which makes it even more special. π

Yes, it is a plant a friend gave me maybe eight years ago. He got it from a friend in Chile. He has since passed and when it blooms once a year in the winter, it warms my heart to think of him and the beauty of that lovely flower that lasts for exactly one day. It opens up in the morning and is gone by nightfall. It always remind me of – life is short. π

Isn’t it a shame that the blossoms don’t last more than a dayβ¦that’s a beauty.

It always reminds me of a day lily which is what I originally thought it was the first time it bloomed. π

Just one more reminder of how God clothes “the lilies of the field” and we need not worry about his loving care for us! The delicate beauty, symmetry, coloring, and perfect parts of your flower are amazing.
