and long may we remember the sacrifices of so many men and women and their families. On this Memorial Day 2016, I again feel great humility and thank you for your service from the bottom of my heart and soul.

God bless America – here today because of those who selflessly served. There’s a special place in heaven for those who never returned – I just know it!

I’d like to think that as well. 🙂

Beautifully said Judy. So many, too many, men and women (many still boys and girls) made the ultimate sacrifice for their country, family and friends, that sadly they never saw again. And all those families and friends who suffered their loss. There are no words. It’s so sad. And we’re still losing our best and brightest to war.
America survives because of them. What would we do without these brave, selfless Americans? 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Good comment because without these brave souls we wouldn’t get much sleep at night. They stand watch, and I know we both appreciate that. My best to you on this special day. 🇺🇸

O’er the land of the free — at least for now — and the home of the brave (may it remain so!).

I echo the mourning in Murphy’s Law: many were boys and girls. Still are. But no matter the age, they died and we will never know what we lost.

Thanks for posting this. I think in our shallow, superficial culture people forget or never learn what Memorial Day is truly about. It’s not the start of summer but the beginning of freedom.

Powerful response: ” It’s not the start of summer but the beginning of freedom.” I don’t think anyone could say it better. Thank you.
