Weekly Photo Challenge: Pure

PeonyBloom

Pure to me is as simple as stopping to admire the beauty that Mother Nature provides us in our gardens, beaches, lakes, or mountains. Here’s hoping your weather is good, and you can enjoy some outside time with Mother Nature this weekend.  🙂

Beautiful, Judy! I love the color white since it represents many possibilities, while a clean black slate is also nice to represent purity and possibilities, like a teacher about to give a lesson on a chalk board.

Your peony is sheer perfection, Judy. We’re looking at a scorcher of a weekend here. High 90s or even 100 on Sunday, but it’s been lovely up until now.

The word “unreal” comes to mind. That touch of deep red makes the white even more startling. Thank you for the weekend wishes. Here the weekend will be something like pbmgarden’s, so outdoor time will be limited. But I can always revisit your gorgeous peony!

    • Extreme weather in the upper limits of the hot and cold spectrum always make me think of what our ancestors coped with in an effort to carve out homes in the various areas of the country. They were tough folks. Today, I must admit I crank down the AC or turn up the heat. Here’s hoping you have a good weekend with some interesting indoor activities. 🙂

I agree entirely with your definition of pure…Mother Nature provides us with it all…I hope you can enjoy being in the garden this weekend. We are bunkering down for rain, cold winds and then frosty conditions…so winter comes even to the Aussies!

It’s amazing how a photo of a single, gorgeous, white peony with a center splash of red can conjure up so many thoughts about purity, beauty, joy, perfection, etc. but more amazing is how your photo makes us all stop and smell the roses (okay, peonies!).

Thanks for sharing it with us. Have a wonderful weekend. Not gonna tell you to rest or relax because I don’t think you’re wired that way!! Enjoy yourself whatever you’re doing. 😍

  14. 🙂 I actually went to a container gardening workshop and then lunch with a friend I hadn’t seen in a while. Nice Saturday. Hope yours was a good one too. 🙂 Glad you liked the peony. It always blows me away with its simple beauty.

I’m enjoying some pure rain this Sunday–badly needed for the garden. We are expecting some more wicked wind and perhaps power outages.
