Now if that isn’t a gorgeous sight to see on January 15th, I don’t know what is!!

I am tempted to say “Unreal!” However, the glory of it is that it is very real. This part of the world has exactly zero color right now, so this image is all the more wonderful this morning. Thank you!

You’re welcome! The Camellias truly are beautiful, and I guess I really appreciate them because we can’t grow them up north. Happy Wednesday, friend. π

We have a long way to go before there are blooms in WI, so thanks, Judy, for the beautiful flower in the middle of January.

A dainty rosebud nestled within a corsage of pink petals….what a beauty! Makes me long for our turn again!

Your camellia is beautiful! I love the color. I only have one bush and it has small red flowers. Itβs different from the traditional camellias. It usually blooms around Christmas time but this year it just started to bloom.

Hope you get a lot of blooms over an extended period of time so you can enjoy each and every one.

That is a gorgeous camellia! We used to have a rosy-flowered one.

I wish I could grow them at home, but at least I get to admire them while visiting here in the winter. π

So pretty! Those colors would be nice in a quilt: light and dark pink with dark green. π

Gorgeous. I used to see camellias when growing up called peppermint camellias. This looks like a highly refined one. Do you know itβs name?

I don’t right now, but when I visit the next time I will try my best to find the tag. I know where it is in the garden, I’m just hoping there will still be a couple blooms.

Just if you happen to wander back by it…Thanks Judy.

I went to Brookgreen this afternoon and checked around the bush to see if there was a nameplate, but there wasn’t. I even asked a gardener, and she said she didn’t know all the names without the plates. It sure was still looking lovely though.

Oh thanks ever so much for checking Judy. It is really a lovely one. Hope it hasnβt been too cold this week. Frigid here.

I’ve been wearing a coat I wear at home, but since there’s no snow on the ground, I’m still pretty happy. π

Beautiful. I do enjoy seeing any flower as perfect as this one. Especially when all I see out my window is winter grayness.

I think the only way to augment the photo is to find a way to include the scent as well π

I haven’t noticed any particular fragrance, but I’m going back on Wednesday and I’ll check it out. π

Some of the best scents I’ve experienced from roses were of that shape (though I’ve never seen one of that unique color!)
